We are proud to share that York has been awarded the prestigious Purple Flag for achieving excellence in the evening and night-time economy.

York has joined cities such as Bournemouth, Bristol, Halifax, Oxford and Winchester to receive the Purple Flag international accreditation awarded by the Association of Town and City Management (ATCM).

Obtaining a Purple Flag indicates that York’s night-time economy offers clean and safe environments, great bars and clubs, a variety of arts and cultural attractions and excellent transport links for visitors and residents.
