HAY WELCOMES NEW CHAIR KAI IKULAYO
General Manager of Novotel York Centre, Kai Ikulayo has been appointed Chairman of the Hospitality Association York (HAY).
HAY made the announcement following its recent meeting, where previous Chair Stefan Micevski stepped down to pursue a new role as General Manager of the Marriott Hotel in Leeds.
New HAY Chairman Kai brings extensive operational leadership experience through his long-held role at Novotel York Centre and is passionate about championing York’s hospitality sector through an increasingly challenging landscape.
Speaking about his new position as Chairman, Kai said:
“I am incredibly proud to be taking on the important role of championing hospitality at what is a challenging time for the industry. Stefan’s leadership and commitment have been paramount in growing the Association over the past 18 months.
His work supporting young people, recognising and rewarding our teams through the HAY Awards, helping deliver the first York Walk for Wellbeing, and championing other worthwhile causes has helped HAY continue to grow and build on the excellent work already established within the city.
I am excited to continue Stefan’s great work and further strengthen HAY moving forward. A huge thank you to Stefan for his hard work and commitment over the past 18 months. Leeds is gaining an exceptional hospitality professional.”
With the support of the HAY executive committee and fellow members, Kai will continue to drive forward the organisation’s ambitions and ensure HAY remains a strong voice for hospitality in York.
